Initial Assessment Consultation / Integrated Goal Setting

Parents and their child will be invited to meet with two Clinicians. Parents will review interview details and paperwork with a Clinician separately from their child who would be undergoing an informal assessment through play with the secondary Clinician

Virtual Service Agreement Review

This virtal experience occurs PRIOR to service engagement. Paperwork is reviewed virutally and an electronic versions will be sent for signature to commence service engagement after the Initial Assessment consultation. Scheduling occurs at this time:

Phase 1:
Development of preliminary treatment plan

  • Sessions in this Phase 1 focuses on measuring your child’s strengths, abilities and area of challenges using assessment tools (such as the Assessment of Basic Language & Learning – Revised (ABLLS-R), Assessment of Functional Living (AFLS), etc.) to establish their baseline skills and abilities.
  • After the completion of the formal assessments, a report will be generated. The duration of the assessment varies from child to child as some children have complex skills.
  • Programs and teaching are facilitated simultaneously while assessments are conducted.

Phase 2:
Commencement of programs / progress monitoring

  • After all stakeholders review and agree to the Initial Preliminary Treatment Plan, the programs are then formally established.
  • Programs are evaluated and progress is monitored.
  • Parents are encouraged to register for Parent Training sessions to best understand how programs are being taught and how to tranfer the teaching goals to their home environment:
    $65 per hour virtually
  • If desired, Clinicians are able to share their child’s progress and strategies for learning success with their educators within their educational facility (i.e., child care, elementary school, high school, etc.):
    $150 per hour (Behaviour team) or $200 per hour (Psychology team) + travel charges apply for community locations

Phase 3:
Progression, Monitoring and Evaluation

  • All students are assessed during every session for all targeted skills, even while programs are facilitated.
  • Evaluation of skills are documented and graphed per session.
  • Results from the ABLLS-R and the AFLS are published and attached to Preliminary Treatment Plan Reports for parent’s review:
    $250 or report update and meeting
  • Revisions to learning programs and teachings are readily racilitated to ensure your child’s successful learning journey.Parents are notified of these needed changes to best ensure a uniform learning experience for all.

Phase 4:
Assessment Update at 6-Months / Formal Progress Review

  • Formal updates to assessments such as the ABLLS-R and AFLS are conducted every 6-months.
  • Update meetings are mandatory to review your child’s progress and to review the update reports to understand the current programs. Parents are also provided the opportunity to state their desired goals for their child’s learning curriculum:
    $65 per hour

Our clinic offers individualized one-on-one Naturalistic Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and Intensive Behavioral Intervention (IBI) services. These evidence-based therapies focus on nurturing skills and reducing challenging behaviors in children with special needs, including ASD, ADHD, and anxiety. Our skilled clinicians employ naturalistic teaching methods, promoting learning in natural environments, making sessions engaging and enjoyable. By tailoring interventions to each child’s unique strengths and challenges, we aim to foster independence, communication, and social interactions, leading to meaningful improvements in their daily lives.

Group therapy offers children with special needs a supportive and engaging environment to interact with peers and learn valuable social and emotional skills. Our group therapy sessions are facilitated by skilled therapists, focusing on enhancing communication, cooperation, and emotional regulation. Participants benefit from shared experiences, gaining confidence, and building meaningful connections with others. By promoting social learning and self-expression, our group therapy empowers children to thrive in various social settings, fostering a sense of belonging and acceptance.

Our Respite Services offer much-needed support to families caring for children with special needs. We provide experienced respite caregivers who offer temporary relief to parents and primary caregivers. During respite care, children engage in fun and stimulating activities while receiving personalized attention and care. This service not only allows caregivers to recharge but also provides children with enjoyable experiences and opportunities to practice their skills in a different setting.

School transitioning can be a crucial period for children with special needs. Our clinic provides specialized support to ease this process and ensure a smooth transition for the child and their family. Working collaboratively with schools, our clinicians develop personalized plans to address academic, social, and behavioral needs. By facilitating communication between parents, educators, and therapists, we aim to create an inclusive and supportive educational environment where the child can thrive academically and socially.

Our In-Home and Community Therapy program brings support and intervention directly to the child’s environment. Our experienced therapists work closely with families to deliver individualized services in the comfort of the child’s home or community settings. This personalized approach ensures that therapy addresses real-life situations and challenges, promoting generalization of skills. By targeting social interactions, communication, and daily living skills, we strive to enhance the child’s participation in their natural surroundings, empowering them to achieve greater independence and overall well-being.

Our specialized Social Group Therapy program is tailored to meet the unique needs of children with challenges in social interactions. Led by experienced therapists, these small, structured groups provide a safe space for participants to practice social skills and build friendships. Through engaging activities and guided discussions, children learn to interpret social cues, take turns, and develop perspective-taking abilities. By boosting their social competence and self-esteem, our Social Group Therapy aims to create meaningful social connections and enhance overall social functioning.

Empowering parents with knowledge and effective strategies is essential in supporting their child’s progress. Our Parent Training program equips parents with evidence-based tools to manage challenging behaviors, enhance communication, and promote positive interactions. Through workshops, individual sessions, and resources, parents gain confidence in implementing techniques at home, reinforcing their child’s development and overall well-being.

Our Organizational Training program extends our expertise beyond individual therapy sessions. We offer training and support to educational institutions, child care centers, and other organizations. By training teachers, staff, and caregivers in evidence-based practices and behavior management techniques, we promote inclusive and effective environments for children with special needs. Our workshops focus on understanding diverse needs, adapting curricula, and creating supportive spaces, fostering an inclusive culture that nurtures every child’s potential to succeed.
