Mai Nguyen is a compassionate and highly skilled clinician with over 20 years of experience, known for her warm and empathetic approach. She is deeply committed to helping individuals and families thrive, tailoring her interventions to meet the unique needs of each client. Mai has extensive expertise in working with neurodivergent individuals, including those with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). She specializes in creating supportive, individualized therapies that foster growth and healing.
As a registered Behavioral Analyst and Psychotherapist in Canada, Mai brings a wealth of experience from her career as a Psychologist in Australia, where she worked with both children and adults for the Department of Disability Services of Queensland. Mai is also a committee member for the College of Psychologists and Behavioural Analysts of Ontario (CPBAO) for the Inquiries, Complaints and Reports Committee (ICRC). Her work spans across neurotypical and neurodiverse populations, with a focus on complex trauma, anxiety, depression, and rehabilitation. She has a particular passion for rehabilitation work, especially with first responders from police, fire, and military backgrounds, as well as individuals recovering from motor vehicle accidents.
Mai’s therapeutic toolkit is as diverse as her experience, including group therapy, play therapy, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Somatic Therapy, and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). Her holistic, eclectic approach ensures that every client receives individualized care.
